Easy and 10 year old loved it. I steamed the beans and used turkey bacon and finely chopped onion instead and was delicious.

Had high expectations but don't think this recipe measured up. I found this too sweet (but that could just be a personal preference), and the white balsamic vinegar turned the green beans brownish, not too appealing to the eye. My husband liked it, so that's why it's getting 3 stars. If I were to make again, I'd cut the brown sugar in half.

Good recipe that my entire family enjoyed...even my 3 year old.

This recipe is outstanding. It has all of my favorite ingredients: bacon, balsamic vinegar. My three year old son also loved it because it was a good mixture of sweet and salt. I am thinking of not only doing this for green beans, but also making the dressing for salads and other vegetables. This is a great side dish for any meal and is sure to impress others and guests. I got the most compliments on this dish and they were pleasantly surprised because I don't normally cook and usually order out for all of my parties. This time, I decided to cook everything myself, and this by far was the biggest hit!

This dish was very good! I replaced the almonds with walnuts since I am allergic to almonds.

Loved it! The sweet verses tart flavor play was delightful. I also enjoyed the crunch from the almonds. Will definitely make this again - it was delicious and pleasing to the eye as well. It may not be quite as pretty, but will probably cut the green beans next go round to make them easier to serve.

This is my go-to green bean recipe. I have made it numerous times and it never fails. Fast and easy, but absolutely delicious!! Toasted pine nuts are a great substitute for the almonds if that's what you have on-hand. My guess is hazelnuts would be really good too. My boyfriend tells me that if I made this with every meal, he'd be a happy man :-) Definitely a great choice for both green bean lovers and those that you'd like to convert.

This is my fav green bean recipe! I make for all holidays and special occasions. I steam the green beans in my steamer for 15 to 20 min and then prepare the sauce as indicated and dump on top of the beans.

I quite enjoyed this, I would have given it 5 stars but a couple tweaks were needed. I found 1/4.C Vinegar was way to strong a flavor, and 2 Tbs. would have been plenty. As well I used 3 strips of bacon. I used slivered almonds which I found just gave it texture more then crunch which I prefer. This makes boring green beans much more interesting.
