Green Beans And New Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound salt pork, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, snapped
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 new potatoes, washed and scrubbed

How to Make It

  1. Place salt pork and water in a large Dutch oven; cover and cook over medium heat 1 hour. Add green beans, onion, and pepper; cover and simmer 30 minutes.

  2. Add potatoes; cover and simmer 50 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
