- 1/4 pound salt pork, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 6 cups water
- 2 pounds fresh green beans, snapped
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 12 new potatoes, washed and scrubbed
How to Make It
Place salt pork and water in a large Dutch oven; cover and cook over medium heat 1 hour. Add green beans, onion, and pepper; cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Add potatoes; cover and simmer 50 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
