    With the reviews before, i knew i needed to add something to this recipe to make it work! I added cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes and garlic powder. I also crushed half of the bag of stuffing before adding into the mix

    Since I am from Wisconsin, I like to add MORE cheese!!! Also before I add the sauce to the beans in the pan I like to sprinkle mushrooms over the beans. Gives it a little more flavor! Very delicious recipe, my family said they will never eat a better green bean casserole again, now I am obligated to take it to all our family outings! :)

    Good recipe. Needs only minor tweaks in my opinion. I used fresh green beans rather than frozen. As CookingCari said, more cheese is always good. In my opinion, seems that a cheddar would work just as well as the Swiss. Also, I mixed the whole egg with stuffing rather than just egg white. Didn't think it would make much difference (and it didn't). Agree with other reviewers that it needs a little more seasoning. I added black pepper, garlic powder, and a little cayenne pepper. Nice!

    my go-to for thanksgiving - i swap fried onions for the stuffing (minus the egg wash). It was popular with even with picky eaters who scowl at the mention of Swiss cheese. I could see how it considered be a little bland without a little extra seasoning or topping.
