A teaspoon of honey neutralizes the bitterness of grapefruit and gives a tangy sweetness to Grapefruit-Poppy Seed Vinaigrette.

  • 3 tablespoons fresh grapefruit juice
  • 4 teaspoons canola mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated grapefruit rind
  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Baby spinach


  1. Combine grapefruit juice, canola mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, and grapefruit rind in a bowl, stirring with a whisk. Gradually add grapeseed oil, stirring constantly with a whisk. Stir in poppy seeds, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over baby spinach.
