Grape Filling

Yield about 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup grape juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

How to Make It

  1. Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, grape juice, and water in a medium sauce pan, stirring well. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  2. Remove from heat; add lemon juice and butter, stirring until well blended.
