My husband loves Southern Dressing, so I knew I had to try this - regardless of the one bad review. My husband and I loved it and even all four of our kids!!! I didn't have time for the crockpot, so I baked it in the oven for 1 - 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees, uncovered. I also only used one can of chicken broth and it came out perfect!!!

My step daughter loves this recipe. I first made it for Christmas Eve and she has been requesting it ever since. It's probably not the healthiest recipe so I only make it occasionally. I think it will become a Christmas Eve tradition.

This is one of the most bizzare dishes I have ever made. I called it Chicken Mush. I may make again in the future, but half or even a quarter as much, there were too many leftovers.

Husband & I loved it. Served it to friends a few weeks later. They loved it. You must like a really moist dressing to enjoy this. I would recommend cutting the broth in half to start with. After it gets halfway done, add more broth if too dry for your tastes. One can was perfect for us. Other than that, we thought it was great.

My family LOVES this dressing! It reminds me of what I grew up eating at my Grandmother's. It is a very moist dressing, but that's the way we like it. I have made it so many times now, and sometimes I transfer it to a baking dish and bake it for a bit for those in the family who like firmer dressing. You could easily reduce the broth if you don't like it really moist. Cornbread dressing is one of those things that everyone has an opinion on, but my opinion is that this recipe is one of the BEST!

Use only one can of broth & one can of soup. Why too soupy if two of each is used. Otherwise, this is like my Mama's recipe only she used chicken broth..

Delicious and soooo easy! We had a friend visit the weekend before Thanksgiving. She wanted a "southern Thanksgiving dinner," but we didn't want to cook the whole feast twice in a week. She loved this recipe and we did too. It tasted very much like my grandmother's chicken and cornbread dressing. We'll make it again. And won't wait until Thanksgiving.
