Garden-Fresh Salsa

Fresh-picked veggies from  your garden or your local farmers' market really add flavor to homemade salsa. Offer no substitute here...store-bought salsa simply won't do!

Yield: 4 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 1/2-oz.) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 3/4 cup green peppers, diced
  • 1/3 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/3 cup Spanish onion, diced
  • 1/3 cup red onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 plum tomatoes, diced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl; refrigerate until ready to serve.
