    The flavor of this dish was outstanding but I screwed up by not putting it in the right pan and it got mushy. Even with that mistake, everyone loved it.

    Worthy of a Special Occasion

    I was looking for a good recipe to use acorn squash and decided on this recipe. It's excellent! Pealing and cutting the acorn squash is tough, so I might use a different squash next time, but overall, it's excellent. The first time, I served it as a side to a pork loin. Next time, I will be making this as a side dish to our Christmas ham.

    This dish was outstanding - just the right amount of sweetness and spices! We'll have it this Thanksgiving as an alternate to the sweet potato casserole. The only challenge is peeling the acorn squash - but it was worth the trouble for the taste.
