- 3 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 6 medium apples, peeled and cut into quarters
How to Make It
Combine sugar and water in a small Dutch oven; bring to a boil, and boil 10 minutes. Reduce heat; add cinnamon and apples, stirring gently.
Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes. Cover, and simmer an additional 20 minutes or until apples are tender and appear transparent.
To serve, transfer to a buttered 1-quart casserole.
