Gingerbread Cookie Gift Basket

Yield 2 dozen cookies

  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • Reynolds® Parchment Paper
  • Tubes of decorator's icing
  • Packages of fruit roll-up candy
  • Mini candies
  • 1 holiday mug

How to Make It

  1. PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with Reynolds Parchment Paper; set aside. Working with one-fourth of dough at a time, roll out dough 1/4 inch thick between two sheets of parchment paper. Using a 5-inch gingerbread man cookie cutter cut out cookies; place on parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake until edges begin to brown, 10 to 12 minutes.

CUT fruit roll-up candy into fashionable outfits. Attach outfits to gingerbread men with decorator's icing. Attach mini candies with decorator's icing for eyes, nose, mouth and buttons.

WRAP cookies individually in color plastic wrap and tie with a ribbon at the top of each cookie. Place cookies in a basket lined with color plastic wrap. Add a holiday mug to the basket, if desired.
