    Worthy of a Special Occasion

    Was a little worried as it did not seem to rise at all. I checked my ingredients and did not forget anything, but maybe my baking powder was old or something. Hid the fact it did not rise by putting whipped cream on top and everyone still loved it. Served also with some stewed fruit as that always covers up many problems. Flavors great and ginger not too strong. Did with Oktoberfest menu and it all was a big hit. Friends still raving about it.

    How yummy! My elementary aged children loved it as well as my husband and I. The flavors worked so well with each other. The cake doesn't get much taller than 2" (I used a 8" cake pan).
