I believe that using brown sugar produces a richer flavor than corn syrup in a German Chocolate cake frosting.

Rich, rich, rich!!! Make this cake when you have all day to spend in the kitchen. It was good though. I'll have to try it sometime with brown sugar. Now I need to hit the Gym!

This recipe was wonderful! It contains a lot of chocolate, which makes the cake absolutely delicious. I cut the recipe in half, and it still made a large cake.

How can this be called a "German Chocolate Cake" when it doesn't include any German chocolate? I hope the recipe authors realize that German chocolate is named for the person (Samuel German) who created this sweet specialty chocolate. I don't see any mention of it in the recipe.
