German Apple Pancakes

Yield 12-16 pancakes


  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup diced, peeled apple
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Dash ground cloves

How to Make It

  1. Place all ingredients in the KitchenAid® Stand Mixer bowl. Attach bowl and wire whip to mixer. Turn to Speed 6 and whip 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl.

    Turn to Speed 6 and whip 15 seconds, or until smooth.

    Slowly heat greased griddle or heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Drop batter by 2 tablespoonfuls onto griddle. Cook until bubbles form on surface and edges become dry. Turn and cook until golden brown on underside. Serve immediately.
