- 1 1/2 pounds boiling onions, peeled
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
How to Make It
Arrange onions on steaming rack. Place over boiling water; cover and steam 20 minutes or until tender. Place in a greased 8-inch square baking dish; set aside.
Melt butter over low heat in a medium saucepan. Add sugar, syrup, and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes without stirring.
Pour glaze over onions; cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
