    Excellent. Didn't bother blending and used pre-ground cumin, as did another reviewer. I did cook longer than recommended so ensure that it was nice and soft. Turns out wonderfully each time.

    This recipe was very good, though I thought it was a bit watery, so I would cut down on the water a little next time. I also found it to be a bit bland, but with a bit of curry powder it was perfect.

    This was delicious and so quick to make. I never knew daal cooked so quickly because most recipes i follow said to cook much longer. I added much more garlic - i used about 4 cloves and also used some ginger. I skipped blending the spices and used mostly ground spiced. I also added curry powder, mustard seeds and coriander. Oh and chopped carrots too. It turned out great. Thanks for the recipe.
