I always keep frozen-best quality-whole green beans & thaw them under running water. Then they are ready to use. We just need to sprinkle on some salt to be perfect.
Garlicky Green Beans
Round out a weeknight meal with this quick and healthful accompaniment.
Ingredients
- 1 pound green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, chopped
- salt and pepper
Preparation
- 1. Trim green beans and blanch in boiling water until bright green and just tender, about 2 minutes (or thaw frozen green beans).
- 2. Warm 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet. Add 2 teaspoons of chopped fresh garlic and sauté until fragrant, 30 seconds to 1 minute. Add green beans and cook, tossing frequently, until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
