Trim green beans and blanch in boiling water until bright green and just tender, about 2 minutes (or thaw frozen green beans).
Warm 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet. Add 2 teaspoons of chopped fresh garlic and sauté until fragrant, 30 seconds to 1 minute. Add green beans and cook, tossing frequently, until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
