  • 12 garlic cloves
  • Cooking spray
  • 4 chicken drumsticks (about 1 pound), skinned
  • 4 chicken thighs (about 1 1/2 pounds), skinned
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper


  1. 1. Preheat oven to 425°.
  2. 2. Sprinkle garlic into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Arrange chicken over garlic; sprinkle onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, oregano, thyme, and pepper over chicken. Cover and bake at 425° for 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Uncover chicken; bake 30 more minutes or until chicken is done. Remove chicken from dish, and add 1/4 teaspoon salt to drippings. Drizzle drippings over chicken.
