Garlic-Parmesan Toasts

For a quick bread to go alongside your meal, preheat your broiler for Garlic-Parmesan Toasts.

  • Yield: Serves 4 (serving size: 1 toast)

Ingredients

  • 4 (1-ounce) slices French bread
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 halved garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese

Preparation

Preheat broiler to high. Place French bread on a baking sheet. Broil 1 minute or until lightly toasted. Brush each slice with 1/2 teaspoon olive oil; rub slices with cut side of a halved garlic clove. Top each slice evenly with 1 1/2 teaspoons grated fresh Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Broil 1 minute or until cheese melts.
