GARLIC CREAM POTATOES

Ingredients

  • 2 cup(s) milk
  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) freshly ground pepper
  • 4 large baking potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 6 medium garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 cup(s) cream
  • 1 cup(s) grated Swiss cheese

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees

  2. In a large saucepan, combine milk, butter, salt and pepper. Bring to boil, stirring frquently.

  3. Add potatoes, garlic and cream and simmer for 15 minutes.

  4. Spoon potato mixture into a buttered 1 1/2 to 2 quart baking dish and top with grated cheese.

  5. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until bubbly

  6. Can be made ahead of time and baked for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until bubbly.
