Garlic-and-Cheese Muffins

2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
2 to 4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar
Melted butter


Whisk together flour and milk; stir in cheese, minced garlic, mayonnaise, and sugar. Spoon into a lightly greased 12-cup muffin pan, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 375° for 18 minutes or until golden. Brush with melted butter.
