Fruit Salsa

Baked cinnamon pita chips make the perfect scoop for this naturally sweet fruit mixture. Serve extra salsa as a topping for yogurt or angel food cake.

  • Yield: 8 servings (serving size: 1/4 cup)


  • 1 cup finely diced strawberries
  • 1 cup finely diced unpeeled Granny Smith apple
  • 1/2 cup finely diced mango
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar


1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, tossing to coat. Cover and chill 2 hours.


Young Chefs can:

Wash strawberries and apple

Add measured chopped fruit to bowl


Older Chefs can:

Carefully help dice strawberries with dinner knife

Squeeze and measure lime juice
