Melt-in-your-mouth Fruit-and-Nut Sliders hit the spot for easy dining. These bite-size sandwiches feature sharp white Cheddar, apple slices, and pecans.
- Sharp white Cheddar
- Golden Delicious apples, thinly sliced
- Toasted pecans
- Slider buns or dinner rolls
- Honey mustard
- Butter, softened
- Place Cheddar, apple slices, and toasted pecans on slider buns or dinner rolls spread with honey mustard. Spread outside of sandwiches with butter. Cook in a pre-heated panini press 2 to 3 minutes or until golden.
- Wine Suggestion: "A good cool-climate Chardonnay would be great with this one, but I would encourage giving white Rhône a try. Rich and exotic, these wines possess wonderful food affinity and crowd-pleasing versatility. Try La Vieille Ferme from the Luberon ($8), Côtes du Rhône Blanc from Famille Perrin ($11), or E. Guigal ($14)." --Richard Robinson, Wine Director, The Wine Shop at Western Supermarket, Mountain Brook, Alabama
