Loved these. The only modification I made was I probably used 2 cups diced apples, and added a little cinnamon to them while they cooked. I also cooked the acorn squash using my usual everyday method....halved, seeded, covered in saran (with a slit to let steam vent), for +/- 5 minutes on high. Everyone enjoyed this side dish, 4 & 5 year-olds included, with CL's Oatmeal-Crusted Chicken Tenders.
