Great recipe. Easy. Quick. Tasty. Served it with salmon and it was yummy. Leftovers will be with pork tomorrow. Would be nice with cream cheese on crackers for an appetizer party. Will definitely make it again.
Fresh-Pear Chutney

Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped red onion
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup currants
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon minced peeled fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 3 cups chopped peeled pear
Preparation
- Combine first 8 ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes. Place in a medium bowl; stir in pear.
