Fresh Fruit Salad with Nutmeg-Cinnamon Syrup

    Oh this was SO good! I made this for brunch on a cool fall day and served it with the French Toast Souffle from this site (also great) and got rave reviews from my guests. I followed the recipe almost exactly (used honeycrisps instead of granny smiths) and wouldn't change a thing. Definitely recommend it.

    I made this for a potluck and it all disappeared, despite the fact that people had to eat it with their fingers (turned out it was a finger-food only party and there were no utensils!). I left out the banana, as it is always the fruit that gets brown and mushy first. And my oranges were kind-of fibrous so I substituted canned mandarins. I will make it again.

    I forgot to buy oranges and therefore omitted them and it was still delicious. I served it as a desert dish after dinner. The syrup is so light and sweet. I definitely will be making it again.
