Ingredients

2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup water
2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon grated lime rind
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
4 cups fresh blueberries
2 cups cubed peeled ripe mango (about 1 1/2 mangoes)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium saucepan; stir well with a whisk. Add blueberries and mango; bring to a boil, and cook 1 minute or until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Serve warm, or cover and chill.
