This recipe really made a mess out of my waffle maker. It was just an o.k. dish, not a keeper.

This made no more of a mess of my waffle maker than any other waffle batter. We have "birthday breakfast" for each member in our family and the most requested breakfast. I serve it with fresh squeezed orange juice, either bacon or sausage, fresh fruit and of course REAL maple syrup. They are best served right out of the iron, all 7 of us are happy to wait our turn.

I loved this recipe, it is the simplest way to make French toast and yummy. I added almond extract and nutmeg to the recipe though.
