French Huguenot Chocolate Pie

Yield one 9-inch pie

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell

How to Make It

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients; beat 5 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350°; bake 40 minutes. Cool.
