French-Fried Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 12 medium potatoes, peeled
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Cut potatoes into 1/2-inchwide slices; cut each slice into 1/2-inch-thick strips. Drop, one batch at a time, into deep, hot oil (360°). Fry 5 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
