French-Bread Pizza with Sausage, Clams, and Mushrooms

Okay, but no wow factor. Followed the recipe -- not sure what was missing, but thought it rather bland. Don't think I would make it again -- there's so many better CL pizzas recipes.

This made a quick and yummy weeknight meal. I used mozzarella cheese instead of parmesan by mistake and it made the pizza gooey and decadent. I think a mix of mozz and parm would probably be best. I served it with the CL roma salad with capers, olives and mozzarella.

Made this with a mix of parmigiana and mozzarella as suggested by the previous reviewer and it was outstanding. It is really rich and filling so I suggest serving it with a salad with an acidic dressing to cut the richness a bit. I`m making it again this week for friends.

I am surprised that anyone would give this under 5 stars. My 8 year old and I enjoyed this so much that this is the special meal we make together anytime there is an occasion worth celebrating. This may be one of my favorite CL recipes of all time.
