1 (16-ounce) loaf French bread, cut in half lengthwise
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and sliced
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1/2 cup seeded, chopped tomato
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded provolone cheese
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
How to Make It
Spread pizza sauce evenly over French bread halves. Arrange mushrooms and next 4 ingredients evenly over sauce. Sprinkle with cheeses. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes or until cheese melts and bread is lightly browned. Cut each bread half into 3 portions.
Here's an easy way to seed a tomato: Cut the tomato in half horizontally and then gently squeeze each half to force out the seeds. Or, use a spoon to scoop the seeds from each cavity.
