Ingredients

  • 6 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Preparation

  1. Combine cabbage, green pepper, and carrot in a large bowl. Combine vinegar and remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute. Pour vinegar mixture over cabbage mixture; toss well. Cover and chill.
Note: To Freeze: Spoon slaw evenly into 4 labeled heavy-duty, zip-top plastic bags. Freeze up to one month.
