- 3 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
- 3 tablespoons Frangelico or Kahlúa, or 1/4 cup spiced rum or 1 1/2 tablespoons instant espresso coffee granules
- Place ice cream in a large bowl. Drizzle with desired liqueur or sprinkle with coffee granules; stir well. Spoon ice cream into individual storage containers, cover, and freeze until firm. To serve, spoon small dollops of ice cream onto pie.
- Note: Ice cream stores easily in small amounts in disposable, rigid plastic containers avaliable at large supermarkets.
