Extra-Cheesy Macaroni and Cheese

I doubled this recipe and my entire family enjoyed it. They called it macaroni and cheese a la quiche! We'd like to try it with the addition of some steamed broccoli. My husband, who normally hates macaroni and cheese, liked this one quite a bit, so it is a keeper for our family.

if you are into burnt and chewy on the outside and mushy on the inside, go for it

we love this recipe. It is so good with Turkey Polska Kielbasa. Make sure you are using the correct size crockpot. we had a 3 quart and it workd great - then tried it in a 6 quart and it was over done.

Loved it. Creamy and perfectly done. We have a 6 qt crockpot, so it was done after 3 hours. I also stirred twice during the cooking process to keep from getting crusty on the outside. Next time I'll add an onion and some garlic, I think it will be even better.

Very cheesy and creamy tasting!....I did have one child that said it was too cheesy!! I never thought I would hear that from a child of mine I cooked it my middle size approx 3qt crock and it turned out good..the outside was a bit crunchy but, I think that maybe because my crock is old. We also used bowtie pasta which the kids love the look of it. Same taste, just looks different..... The only thing I would do different is stir it halfway through besides, that it was a hit will all the kids except one. An extremely nice change from the box mac n cheese. We will make this again.

I was surprised at how great this was!! I am always looking for a great mac and cheese recipe, usually do Martha Stewart's. This was so nice to throw together and forget about it, mine too was done in about 3 hours. Would definitely recommend, and the kids LOVE it!
