Eggnog Glaze

'Tis the season to give your sugar cookies a spirited boost with our Eggnog Glaze.

This recipe goes with Sugar Cookie Cutouts

  • Yield: Makes about 1 1/4 cups, enough to glaze 48 cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons plus 2 tsp. whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons water

Preparation

Stir together powdered sugar, whipping cream, bourbon, kosher salt, and freshly grated nutmeg until smooth. Stir in up to 2 tsp. water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency.
