'Tis the season to give your sugar cookies a spirited boost with our Eggnog Glaze.
This recipe goes with Sugar Cookie Cutouts
Yield: Makes about 1 1/4 cups, enough to glaze 48 cookies
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons plus 2 tsp. whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon bourbon
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons water
- Stir together powdered sugar, whipping cream, bourbon, kosher salt, and freshly grated nutmeg until smooth. Stir in up to 2 tsp. water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency.
