EASY PEACH CRISP

THIS DESSERT IS SUPER EASY BECAUSE IT USES A BOX OF YELLOW CAKE MIX AND CANNED PEACHES

Ingredients

  • 4 can(s) (16 oz) Sliced Peaches in Syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
  • 1 stick(s) butter or margarine melted
  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup(s) cornstarch
  • FOR CRUMBLE
  • 1 box(es) Yellow or Lemon Cake Mix
  • 1/2 stick(s) butter melted
  • 2 tablespoon(s) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon

Preparation

Pour all cans of peaches (and syrup) in a large bowl.

* In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch , cinnamon, and nutmeg with a small amount of the peach syrup to blend into liquid form.

* In another small bowl,mix the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla

*Combine the contents of the 2 small bowls and pour over the peaches, blending well.

*Pour all of this into an ungreased 13 x 9 cake pan.

For topping: Blend the cake mix and melted butter, creating a coarse crumble mix

Sprinkle the crumble topping over the peach mixture. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle on top.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
