Easy Chocolate Frosting

Yield enough for one 2- layer cake


  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk
  • 4 to 5 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How to Make It

  1. Combine butter, cocoa, and milk in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool. Gradually add sugar, beating well until spreading consistency. Stir in vanilla.
