I love the way you took the cherries and used their juice instead of pouring it off and I haven't made it yet but i plan on making it in a week or so for a church luncheon It's a Slash Lunch & Baby Shower So It Needs To Be A Special Dish For this Occasion !! Easy Cherry Cobbler
This Easy Cherry Cobbler is a simple solution for someone with a sweet tooth.
Yield: Serves 4 to 6
- 1 15-oz. can tart red cherries,undrained
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cup sugar, divided
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
- Bring cherries to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat; remove from heat. Mix flour, one cup sugar, milk, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Pour butter into 6 one-cup ramekins or into a 2-quart casserole dish or; pour flour mixture over butter. Add cherries; do not stir. Sprinkle remaining sugar over top. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
