  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 head green cabbage (about 1 lb.), grated
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • Hot sauce


  1. Whisk together vinegar, sugar, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Add cabbage and celery; toss to coat. Let stand 1 hour before serving, tossing occasionally. Serve with hot sauce.
