- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 head green cabbage (about 1 lb.), grated
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- Hot sauce
- Whisk together vinegar, sugar, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Add cabbage and celery; toss to coat. Let stand 1 hour before serving, tossing occasionally. Serve with hot sauce.
