Ingredients
- 3 cups uncooked regular oats
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
- 1/2 cup chopped dried apples
- Yogurt (optional)
Preparation
- 1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; stirring well.
- 2. Cook honey and next 3 ingredients in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Stir in oat mixture.
- 3. Spread mixture in a lightly greased, aluminum foil-lined 15- x 10-inch jelly-roll pan.
- 4. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until golden, stirring every 5 minutes. Invert onto wax paper; let cool 30 minutes. Stir in dried fruits. Serve with yogurt, if desired.
