Doughnut Holes

Yield about 3 1/2 dozen

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to Make It

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder, 1/3 cup sugar, and salt. Add milk, egg, and butter; mix with a wooden spoon until smooth.

  2. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into deep oil heated to 375°. Fry until golden brown, turning once. Drain well.

  3. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon; stir well. Roll doughnuts in cinnamon mixture until coated. Serve warm.
