  • 2-1/2 cup(s) Sugar
  • 1/4 cup(s) White Syrup
  • 1/2 cup(s) Water
  • 2 whole(s) Egg Whites Beaten Stiff
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Vanilla


  1. Mix sugar, syrup and water and cook until it forms a soft ball (244 degrees). Pour hot mixture into beaten eggs a little bit at a time. When all in in, add vanilla and beat until it comes to a hard peak. Put food coloring in. If it has a shine, you haven't beaten it long enough.

  2. Spoon onto wax paper with tablespoon. Let chill. May add chopped pecans.
