Dinner Rolls

Photo: Jim Franco
Yield Makes 10 rolls

Ingredients

  • Butter to grease pie plate, plus more for rolls
  • 1 1-pound ball of dough

How to Make It

  1. Butter a 9-inch pie plate. Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces. Shape into balls. Place 2 balls in the center of the pie plate and the remaining 8 around the outside. Brush each lightly with melted butter as you go so they don't stick to one another. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise 30 to 60 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375° F. Remove plastic. Carefully snip the tops of the rolls on a diagonal with sharp scissors. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden.
