These are a little time consuming from the standpoint of having to hand stuff each date individually, but worth the effort. I've been making them for years and without fail when I send out party invitations, I get multiple requests to "please make the stuffed dates again!" But, I warn you, if you want outstanding results use premium Medjool dates because they make ALL the difference. pleasanthills99, the recipe calls for DATES, not PRUNES! And the pairing of bacon, bleu cheese, dates is wonderful. And, f you want to, because sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't... throw one in there for a little variety.

I have not yet tried out this recipe, and as the saying goes, "you shouldn't knock something that you haven't tried", but seriously folks, bacon paired with blue cheese, and of all things-- prunes! Someone will have to try this one out and let us all know how it tasted.

These sound so good but can another cheese be substituted for the blue cheese, which I don not care for?

P-LEEEZE when I check the recipes out-the 1st thing I notice are the *'s.....do not give a review when you do not know what you are talking about! That being said-great recipe, worth the extra work!

I would like to make these for the upcoming holidays, but I am confused. Is the recipe supposed to have prunes or dates?

BiscuitsNHoney... maybe you should read the recipe again... it clearly calls for PRUNES. I have made these and they are excellent. Don't change a thing.

Great Recipe! I almost didn't try this recipe because of only three stars. Then I checked the reviews to find out that the low scores were from two people who had not even tried the recipe.

So easy and tasty! Took these to a dinner group evening, and they were a huge hit!
