Deviled Eggs with Pickled Onions

    I made these tonight using really fresh eggs. They peeled easily, just like the recipe said they would. I really liked the pickled onions instead of sweet relish. I will definitely make these again!

    These were really great and I just made them again because of the family asking for them! The pickled onions are a nice touch. My husband said they were the best deviled eggs ever.

    My husband doesn't like deviled eggs, but I noticed he ate 4 of these! I had them out a little early on Easter and the eggs were gone within seconds. I soaked the onions over night and they were delicious, sweet and tangy. The touch of Sriracha gave a hint of heat without overwhelming the rest of the flavors. Definitely will make these again!

    I have had mixed success with steaming the eggs for deviled eggs but the deviled egg recipe is superb. Really, Really liked it and everyone that I have served them to also gave them rave reviews.

    I haven't made this yet, which is why I rated it "has potential." I am wondering why does the recipe call for 8 eggs when it requires only 6 yolks for the finished product? And is it 6 whole yolks, or half yolks, as it says to slice eggs in half lengthwise and then add the yolks. Need clarification.

    The pickled onions make the difference. Sure beats pickle relish. Better than Mom's.
