Demerara Simple Syrup
- 1/2 cup Demerara sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- Cook sugar and water in a 2-qt. saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, 3 to 4 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Cool to room temperature (about 30 minutes). Store in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 week.
