Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 3/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon celery seeds
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • Hot sauce to taste

Preparation

  1. Sauté garlic in butter in a medium saucepan. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally .
