Deep South Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup catsup
- 3/4 cup chili sauce
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 1 tablespoon celery seeds
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
- Hot sauce to taste
Preparation
- Sauté garlic in butter in a medium saucepan. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally .
