I made a couple of changes, I used apple juice instead of apple cider (only thing I had on hand) and I left the milk out as the oatmeal seemed moist enough without it. I thought this was delicious and very filling. Even my picky 4 year old ate it! It also makes great leftovers!

It's a bit sweet for the adults in our family but the kids sure do love it!

It was a very good recipe. I made it just for one, added dried cherries and vanilla soy milk. Also used apple juice and apples instead of the pear. Very good and filling!

Quick & very tasty. I didn't have any pears so I threw in a half cup of fresh cranberries to the water & cider. I also reduced the water to 1/4 cup and added several tablespoons of plain greek yogurt with the milk which gave it a nice creamy texture. Without the pears, I felt it needed more sweetness I so added a packet of Equal and more cinnamon to taste. Next time I will increase the vanilla or use vanilla greek yogurt

WAY too much salt! My family couldn't even eat it! The other favors were good, so I am going to quarter the salt amount next time.
